Miami sits on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, protected by the shallow waters of Biscayne Bay which is world famous for its beauty and history. While you will be enamored by this, the fishing is just as spectacular. The Bay is a series of flats, interspersed with deep channels, providing the perfect habitat for maurading bonefish looking for their next meal. Bonefish, permit and tarpon all cruise these waters and seasonally big sharks and other species move through as well. One thing to keep in mind is that many of these fish are big, not the type usually caught in the Bahamas, Belize and other locales. Catching one of the bad-boys on fly is the equivalent to catching a 30" rainbow on a dry fly. Bonefishing in Miami is legendary and I look forward to guiding you on an upcoming trip.
